We’re the founders of a B Corp Certified portfolio of software, media, and technology companies. Headquartered in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Redbrick has scaled from local start-up to global name—all thanks to the people we invest in.

The Name
Redbrick

The Redbrick name is a nod to our beginnings in one of Victoria’s historic buildings and its red-brick walls. It’s all one word, and the “R” is capitalized, but “b” is not.

If Wheel of Fortune taught us anything, it’s that vowels are pricey. Playing to the trend of vowel-less URLs, we dropped ours in 2018.

Our backstory

​Founded in 2011 by CEO Tobyn Sowden, Redbrick got its start in media and marketing. But as the industry changed, we did too. We're now on a mission to build, acquire, and scale purposeful, profitable companies where people love to work.​

People & Culture
We’re “people people,” our People & Culture team is a testament to that. They ensure your employee experience lives up to our culture and that everyone has the support they need to thrive.
Finance
With six portfolio companies, we’ve got a lot of numbers to crunch. Our finance team manages all those numbers, from balance sheets to payroll—across all of Redbrick and our portfolio.
Creative & Marketing
Redbrick’s Shared Services team of designers, marketers, and creatives split their time between scaling new technology within Redbrick and lending their skills to our portfolio companies.
Executive Operations
Redbrick’s Executive Operations team oversees all community, corporate, and team events, and supports the executive teams with their day-to-day logistics and operations.
